An online plant shop has gone viral this week after eagle-eyed shoppers noticed its box design is a bit on the rude side.
PLNTS, which sells and delivers a massive range of houseplants and pots, chose to wrap its brand name around a corner of its boxes.
But it turns out that when you chop ‘PLNTS’ in half horizontally, it looks an awful lot like… ‘penis’.
Much to the delight of people over on Twitter, with a tweet about the box receiving more than 83,000 likes at the time of writing.
A spokesperson for PLNTS said the design was ‘unintentional’ but that they were enjoying reading the comments that have flooded in.
A fierce debate about whether the graphic designer responsible chose the placement on purpose has erupted online.
One person said: “As a graphic designer i know that nothing is ever unintentional they knew EXACTLY what they were doing.”
Another wrote: “I would love to believe that this was 100% intentional.”
Someone said that the graphic designer responsible should be given a raise.
“When I see stuff like that I always imagine a bunch of designer friends daring each other to get away with writing/drawing the stupidest stuff they can. In the design classes we did, it was fun,” said one user.

And someone shared their own cheeky design job, writing: “Reminds me of the time where I almost got away with putting a botanical illustration of cannabis in the bg menu design for a restaurant I hated working at. Designers can be sneaky..”
A PLNTS spokesperson said: “We did notice the post going viral already, we think it is great! I can imagine the designer chuckle behind their desk while watching this unfold.
“As far as we know this was unintentional in the design. Our team is also having a great time reading everyone’s comments.”
What a ballsy move from that graphic designer.
