The UK's favourite matchmaking programme is moving to Manchester.
First Dates' Maître d’ Fred Sirieix, waiters, chefs and kitchen crew will be upping sticks to the north for the next series of the popular dating show.
Smart choice. What better backdrop for romance than Manchester?
The restaurant is yet to be revealed, and whilst 20 Stories has apparently been ruled out, we may see singles dining over at Corn Exchange or St Peter's Square.
The new series is set to feature as many as 30 episodes - all of which will be shot on location in the city.
First Dates has been screened in homes throughout the UK for seven years and adapted for 18 foreign audiences worldwide.
It is also considered one of the most effective TV dating programmes - with hundreds of happy couples leaving the restaurant hand-in-hand for a happily-ever-after.
