The festive season is fast approaching, and the UK’s biggest employer of seasonal Santas has launched a nationwide recruitment drive.
With ‘the most wonderful time of the year’ merely a matter of months away now, and the big Red man polishing his sleigh in preparation, Dobbies – which is actually one of the biggest employers of Santas in the UK – is looking for some new recruits to help deliver an exciting lineup of Christmas events in Greater Manchester.
The garden centre chain’s Altrincham store is in-need of “a jolly team” of seasonal workers to lend a hand this Christmas.
From hosting the popular ‘Santa’s Breakfast’ events in the store’s restaurant, to welcoming guests at the ‘Meet Santa’ experience – which is new for 2024 – these merry recruits will be at the heart of spreading festive cheer and helping excited families count down to the big day.
All successful applicants who apply for the seasonal roles will undergo a comprehensive training programme through Dobbies’ dedicated ‘Santa School’.
In a bid to ensure the most magical start to the festive season, Dobbies’ seasonal colleagues will begin preparations in mid-November for the ‘Meet Santa’ experience in its Altrincham store – which kicks-off on Thursday 28 November at Dobbies’ annual Christmas Shopping Night.
“We’re hoping to create the most memorable experiences for families in Altrincham this Christmas,” commented Dobbies’ Events Programme Manager, Ayesha Nickson.
“To bring our vision to life, we’re looking for enthusiastic and friendly Santas who will help us share the magic, so whether you have experience, or simply love the festive season, we’re inviting applications from the Altrincham area.
“Our comprehensive training programme ensures everyone will be feeling confident to create unforgettable moments.”
Fancy it then? Greater Manchester residents are now invited to apply for the roles, with a variety of hours available to suit different schedules.
