Have you ever wondered what it would be like to just sit back and get paid to drink prosecco? Probably not, to be honest – that doesn’t sound healthy at all. However, you can now get paid to do it in a much more professional way.
Family wine company House of Townsend is hiring someone to become the ‘world’s first prosecco taster’ and they are paying competitively for it.
The successful candidate will be the world’s first dedicated prosecco tester, according to HoT and the role will be a fixed-term contract for 1 month, with a highly competitive rate reflective of wine tasting experience.
According to the application, the role requires endurance, commitment, and an exquisite palate and the successful candidate will be expected to give feedback on up to 6 different bottles within 2 weeks. Therefore, those who experience wine headaches should probably not apply.
The prosecco taster will work directly with the innovation and customer service team of House of Townsend as well as oversee the new product selection for sparkling wine, plus making incremental improvements on existing products. So, plenty to get stuck into.
The northern wine merchant say they are looking for someone with a deep passion for wine with a vivid imagination to “transport themselves to the romance of Italy as they flow with the flavour.”
