It was one of the biggest openings of 2021 – and now O’Sheas giant Irish beer garden is making a return.

The popular Irish pub branched out into the world of al fresco drinking in April last year, when Covid restrictions meant that indoor hospitality had to remain closed.

It took over an empty car park just off the inner ring road for weeks of perfectly chilled Guinness and live music.

This time, O’Sheas will be back within staggering distance of Piccadilly train station, in a now-indoor venue.

The space has been re-designed and draped in the colours of Ireland, operators say, with artist’s impressions of the site showing a new clear roof above the rows of tables.

O’Sheas is planning a two-week Irish festival, kicking off on St Patrick’s Day and ‘putting an end to a two-year celebratory drought’.

Eat New York will be back to provide food at the O’Sheas Beer Garden, serving up their signature bagels and burgers with an Irish-American twist.

As well as ice-cold Guinness, punters will also be able to order espresso martinis and passionfruit martinis on tap.

Paul Mackay, co-owner of O’Sheas, said: “Once again this is for the people and for the city.

“We celebrate a return for the long-awaited St Patrick’s Day celebration and we promise to fit that two-year wait into a fun packed two weeks.

“The beers are cold and the welcome is warm. We have missed you all dearly and we can’t wait to see you at the festival!”

Live music will be back too, with performances from local bands like The Joe Keegan Band, Green Hot Clover, Live Lounge and more.

Tickets are limited and are available at osheasbeergarden.co.uk.
