One of the most popular and best-loved festive films is to get the full orchestral treatment this December.
Usually near the top of many people’s annual film watch lists once winter rolls around, the 2003 Richard Curtis-directed film Love Actually is often called a modern Christmas classic, with an all-star cast that includes Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, and so many other familiar faces.
The romantic comedy cleverly ties together 10 separate stories of love – from familial, right through to romantic and platonic.
And fans of the festive favourite will now get to enjoy a screening of the film with a full orchestra providing the live soundtrack.
Love Actually heads out on a nationwide tour of UK theatres and concert halls this December in what is becoming “an annual highlight of the holiday calendar”.
The film will be projected onto huge screens, while the full orchestra plays BAFTA award-winning Craig Armstrong’s score.
The tour will begin on 2 December, and will visit cities including Glasgow, Sheffield, Hull, London, Nottingham, and most importantly, stopping off right here in Manchester.
Love Actually will be at the Bridgewater Hall on Monday 13 December from 7:30pm.
Tickets are now on sale from either the Bridgewater Hall website or Ticketmaster, with prices ranging from £42.50 to £68.00.
