There’s a new dog cafe that’s set to open in Greater Manchester next month and it’s even got a beach.
Alfie’s Island Cafe has taken up a massive new 22-acre site at Manor Park Sports & Dog Complex in Timperley, Altrincham and will welcome both dog owners and dog lovers alike.
Ran by the owners of Central Bark Cafe, Tony and Tania Golden are hoping to transform this new site into a community hub for humans and their four-legged friends, decorated with a tropical-inspired theme that is complete with deck chairs, parasols and even a dog-friendly beach.
This new site is much bigger than the last, will have a large outside dining area and also a private room too, which can be booked out for parties and special occasions.
The menu will have hot dogs, burgers and seafood, as well as American pancakes and dedicated kids’ options.

Tony and Tania have also partnered with the charity, Starlight Barking Trust, and will bring stray dogs over from Greece to help them find their forever-home here in the UK – an ode to their own dog, Golden Retriever and the cafe’s namesake Alfie, who was also rescued from Greece.
The focus for the couple is to create a stress-free space for dogs who are visiting and staying over as part of their day-care offering.

Owners will also be able to book for their dogs to stay over for a cage-free night to help them relax.
Alfie’s Island Cafe is aiming to be open sometime in mid-July.
No set date has officially been confirmed for opening however, as the owners are said to be waiting for clearer guidance from the government in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as to when they can welcome visitors through the doors.

Necessary social distancing measures are also set to be put in place ahead of opening.
To keep up to date with everything and to be the first to hear of opening dates, you can head on over to the Alfie’s Island Cafe Facebook page here.
