One of Greater Manchester’s most raved-about “socially-distanced outdoor adventures” is back again this Spring and families are already excited.
Totally Roarsome took the region by storm last summer after it opened to the public following the initial lifting of coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown restrictions in mid-2020, with visitors flocking from far and wide to the COVID-safe family-friendly trail that was created in untouched woodland in Hyde.
The trail featured everything from dinosaurs, jungle animals and Arctic creatures, to superheroes, pirates and cartoon characters, and proved to be so much of a success that it was even transformed into a spooky spectacle for Halloween too.
It was named by many as being one of the safest attractions for all the family in Greater Manchester.
But as the temperatures began to drop and restrictions were imposed once again, the event was forced to temporarily shut down activity.

For the many families left eagerly awaiting the news of when they can next pay a visit though, you’ll be excited to hear that the attraction has officially announced – following yesterday’s unveiling of the UK government’s roadmap for exiting lockdown – it will be returning in time for the Easter holidays on 12th April.
The attraction has also moved locations to Mottram Hall, just over the border into Cheshire.
Providing families with an insight into what they can expect from the event in just a few weeks time, Totally Roarsome took to social media last night to say: “Enter into Jurassic Land, then onto the Jungle and once you’ve encountered our dinosaurs, lions, and tigers, it’s off on a Bear Hunt.
“Then take a trip through the Wild West and head down the rabbit hole into Alice’s Wonderland, before making your way into Neverland, where there are pirates everywhere you turn.
“Then we are off to the world of superheroes [where] Batman, Superman and Spiderman will all be there to greet you, before finally wandering through our fantasy land with dragons, unicorns and knights of the realm.

“With Dinosaurs, unicorns and superheroes all on the same day, what else do you need?”
Tickets are priced at £7.95 per ticket (+ £1.50 booking fee, per transaction), and they go on sale live from the Totally Roarsome Facebook page at 6pm this evening.
All tickets must be booked in advance online.
This is to manage and restrict the number of visitors / families being allowed around the attraction at any one at a time, with five minutes between slots, to allow for necessary COVID-safety precautions and social distancing measures to be upheld.

You can watch some of the year’s biggest blockbusters for just £4 this weekend.
That’s because, to celebrate National Cinema Weekend (5-6 September), Vue has announced that it’ll be offering cut-price tickets to everything from the latest blockbusters and family favourites, to indie horrors and classic re-releases, so you don’t have to break the bank to enjoy the full cinematic experience this autumn.
Some of the highlights currently showing that you’ll be able to see for just £4 include summer hits like Spider-Man: Brand New Day, The Odyssey, and Toy Story 5, as well as the recent release of Ridley Scott’s latest film, The Dog Stars, starring Jacob Elordi.
Family favourites such as Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie, and Cars will also be screening over National Cinema Weekend.
Meanwhile, horror fans can also catch new releases Insidious: Out of the Further, and indie horror Leviticus, or see the year’s biggest horror hit, Obsession, if you haven’t already.
The best bit about the offer? It applies to every seat on every showing, all weekend long.
This means that film lovers can enjoy Vue’s biggest and comfiest seats, Ultra Lux, which are strategically positioned to give the best possible view of the big screen – with extra-wide armrests, back and leg rests that recline independently, a personal table for snacks and beverages, and a state-of-the-art wine cooler, all for just £4 each.

Andy Burnham’s favourite pub, restaurant, neighbourhood, and Sunday roast have been revealed – and the man’s got taste.
Old footage of now-PM Andy Burnham chatting to content creator Isaac Likes has been doing the rounds again, and while the interview dates back to before Andy left us and headed down to the big smoke, his Manchester recommendations still stand.
From his go-to neighbourhood and favourite pub to where he heads for a Sunday roast, and even the song he likes to play when he gets behind the decks, Burnham gave us a glimpse into his ideal Manchester day.
First up, there’s the Northern Quarter, which Burnham reckons has to be his favourite neighbourhood in the city.
He said: “Got to be the Northern Quarter. It’s the place where it’s all happening.”
When it comes to food, he singled out Firehouse, sitting on the edge of the Northern Quarter, as one of his favourite places to eat. He also gave a shoutout to its sister venue Ramona, where he’s been known to get behind the decks.
Andy said: “On the edge of the Northern Quarter, Firehouse is a place I love to go. Ramona Pizza, I’ve DJ’d there – if the mayor DJs there it’s gotta be alright.”
For a proper pint, Burnham’s choice is a little more traditional, saying his favourite pub is the ‘proper old school’ Peveril of the Peak.
The beautiful tiled pub was recently named the best in the UK, just days before its legendary landlady Nancy passed away.
When Sunday rolls around, Burnham said he has a couple of options up his sleeve. The Wharf in Castlefield gets a mention, as does Edinburgh Castle up in Ancoats.

He said: “We love our gravy, we drink it by the pint in Manchester.”
Of course, no conversation with Burnham about Manchester would be complete without talking music.
Asked to name the best Manchester band of all time, he offered a few contenders – The Smiths, New Order, and, ultimately, The Stone Roses.
“The band I think are quintessentially Manchester is The Stone Roses. That was peak Manchester,” he said.
