It’s the hit reality show that has made celebrities out of countless attractive young hopefuls, with its newest season debuting to an audience of 2.4million UK viewers.
Now, as the season 8 drama continues to build, one Manchester bar has revealed plans to launch a new series of weekly watch parties with endless pornstar martinis, frozen strawberry daiquiris and giant street food sharing platters.
Taking place every Wednesday night throughout the show’s summer run at The Shack in the Northern Quarter, fans of the hit UK dating show can sink endless cocktails as they catch up with all the Islander’s romantic drama.

Priced from just £20 per person, Love Island stans will be treated to huge platters of food including pickle-topped fried chicken burger sliders, chicken and salad-stuffed wraps, and heaps of fries, as well as bottomless drinks including prosecco, mimosas and bellinis.
And that’s not all. Also included in the £20 per person drinks package are a range of beers from Coors, Corona and Red Stripe, and ciders from Aspall and The Shack’s own house line.
If you really want to go all out, though, you can opt to upgrade to the premium drinks package for an extra fiver.

For that, you’ll also be treated to non-stop pornstar martinis, frozen strawberry daiquiris and a selection of house spirits and mixers including vodka, gin and rum throughout the show’s duration.

Love Island screens from 9pm on ITV1 every night except for Saturdays, with bottomless boozy showings at The Shack held every Wednesday.

Tens of thousands queue for exclusive new Selfridges Jellycat toy

Selfridges has today unveiled a brand-new, exclusive Jellycat toy – and it’s proving so popular an online queue has had to be put in place.
At the time of writing, a whopping 28,000 people are currently in a virtual queue to purchase the adorable new Jellycat character, with a wait time of more than an hour.
Today, Selfridges debuted a world-exclusive toy for the department store – a plushie version of its iconic yellow bag.
The Jellycat Amuseables toy comes in a soft yellow fabric, with the signature Jellycat smile, plus corded handles and legs.
And it does function as a miniature bag too, perfect for storing other pieces from your collection.
It’s been launched to celebrate a milestone 25 years of partnership between the two brands.

The Selfridges x Jellycat exclusive retails at £48 – and its price has done absolutely nothing to deter people from shopping.
As well as being stocked online, the Selfridges bag soft toy is available in store in Exchange Square and at the Trafford Centre in Manchester, as well as in Birmingham and London.

Police appeal for information after pedestrian killed on Mancunian Way followed earlier welfare concern reports

Police are continuing to appeal for information after a pedestrian was killed on Mancunian Way during the early hours.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) explained that the shocking incident occurred at approximately 12:50am on Friday 31 October when it was reported that a Volkswagen Passat had collided with a man in his 20s.
Sadly, the collision was fatal and the pedestrian died at the scene.
The driver of the Volkswagen, a man in his 40s, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Following the incident, subsequent police enquiries have established that a call was made to the force shortly after midnight which reported concern for a man walking on the carriageway, and GMP says it believes the man in that report was the man who was involved in the fatal collision.
Officers were sent out as ‘high priority’ to carry out an extensive search of the surrounding area after the report was made, but it was said that they couldn’t locate him.

Due to this earlier report, GMP has confirmed that it has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) to look into its response to the search.
The victim’s family is aware, have been updated, and they are being supported by specialist officers at this time.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is still appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward, and are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have CCTV footage, dashcam, or mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the incident.
“This is a tragic incident for all involved and we express our deepest condolences to the family of the man who has lost his life, and whom we are doing our utmost to support at this time,” commented Sergeant Andrew Page.
