And now our coolest platform is heading off Instagram and out in to the real world, taking over the decks at the truly iconic Night & Day Cafe.
You can expect to hear us spinning some tunes from bright new talents, as well as the names we all already know and love.
Taking place on 24 June, The Manc Audio will be on the DJ decks at Night & Day from 7pm to 11pm, warming up your Saturday night before Manchester band Honk take over the weekly event Loose Joints.
In two weeks’ time, you’ll be boogying to everything from soul, disco and funk, to indie and post-punk, all with just one thing in common – it’s music to get you off your seat and dance to.
Think ABBA, Jungle, and Talking Heads in a non-stop onslaught of immaculate vibes.
Come down for a drink or two, say hi and maybe even have a boogie, it’s free entry after all.
Night & Day is one of Manchester’s most iconic grassroots venues, now more than 30 years old.
For decades, it’s been welcoming brilliant musicians, including over the course of their careers the likes of Ed Sheeran, Arctic Monkeys, Wet Leg, James Bay and Elbow.
It’s a Northern Quarter landmark too, thanks to its familiar burgundy frontage and cosy interior.
A petition has been created to make Prestwich’s Oasis-inspired ‘Aldeh’ sign permanent

We love how Greater Manchester, the UK and, indeed, the whole world have been gripped by Oasis fever – even brands like Aldi, who recently renamed one of their local shops ‘Aldeh’ in honour of Oasis and Manc accents everywhere; in fact, there’s even a petition to make it permanent.
And it’s already starting to gather some steam…
That’s right, the Aldi in Prestwich – or ‘Aldeh’ as we shall hopefully refer to it from now until forever – has seen not just local shoppers in and around Bury, but Oasis fans and even just curious Mancunians visit the location to see it for themselves.
In case this silly but oddly satisfying bit of news somehow passed you by, here it is in all its (What’s the Story?) Morning Glory:
A slightly caricatured and over-the-top impersonation of the most Gallagher-esque voice ever? Maybe. Fun to record? Definitely Maybe.
The sign itself has stood outside the branch located near Heaton Park for just over a fortnight now in honour of the Live ’25 reunion gigs and has drawn plenty of attention.
As described by the creator of the petition, Ella Curtis – a Manchester native herself – “photos of the sign went viral, because it tapped into something meaningful: pride in where we’re from, and in what this city has given the world. In short, Prestwich got its own Blue Plaque.”
Simply entitled, ‘Make “Aldeh” Permanent: A Tribute to Manchester’s Musical Legacy’, you can find a lengthy and surprisingly inspiring explanation detailing why the petition matters down below.
“1. A Tribute to Manchester’s Cultural Legacy
Manchester’s contribution to music – and to British culture more broadly – is unmatched. Oasis gave the world BritPop and helped define a generation. The ‘Aldeh’ sign reflects that heritage in a way that feels authentic, local, and proud.
2. A Source of Local Pride
As a proud Mancunian, I’ve seen the reaction firsthand. The sign has brought a real sense of community, joy, and identity to the area. People stop to take pictures, to smile, to talk. In a time when towns often struggle to feel distinctive, this simple change has sparked something genuinely positive.
3. A Cultural Landmark in the Making
In just a short time, the sign has become a local attraction and even a landmark – a destination for fans. It is a symbol and reminder of how we, as Mancunians all came together to celebrate one of the biggest reunion concerts from one of the world’s biggest bands happening right on our doorstep!
The ‘Aldeh‘ sign might have started as a temporary campaign, but it’s come to mean something more – to this city, to its people, and to anyone who recognises the power of music and place.”

Already listed on Google as a ‘cultural landmark’, even boasting 5-star reviews, Aldi themselves have responded by saying: “Boss said we also need 10,000 likes and a comment from one of the Gallaghers.”
It’s your time to shine, folks – we’ll worry about the two later.
The ‘Aldeh’ petition page ends with a simple but moving message: “Sign if you agree – let’s make ‘Aldeh’ a lasting part of Manchester’s story.”
Listen, it’s very rare that you see a city, a country and arguably the entire world taken over by a collective obsession and unified love of music and art; with that in mind, you best believe we’re right behind this.

Bury FC clap back at Oasis after Noel Gallagher’s dig at Heaton Park reunion show

Bury FC have clapped back at Oasis after Noel Gallagher aimed a sly little dig at the Greater Manchester side during their reunion show this week.
The Burnage boys returned to Heaton Park for round three of their five-night run, where roughly another 80,000 descended on the massive outdoor space for their latest homecoming gig.
While the energy back in 0161 has been unreal for every date thus far, with the Gallagher brothers seemingly getting just as much of a buzz from the reception as Mancs and out-of-towners alike, ‘r Noel did dish out a bit of sarcasm when he was welcomed into the spotlight on Wednesday evening.
In case you didn’t see the now-viral clip, here’s what he had to say…

The Gallaghers are never ones to shy away from a bit of cheek, but Noel definitely has the reputation for being the drier of the two wits.
Not that making a joke about the nearest team being Bury, to what was most likely a sea of Manchester City and/or United fans (purely based on the law of averages), is particularly witty.
Regardless, we were glad to see not only Shakers fans but the club itself give the local but now London-based music legend a bit back.
Responding in a social media comeback of their own, the North West Counties League (NWCL) outfit noted that while they couldn’t share the original clip – not that it stopped supporters, mind you – they did go on to share an old clip of their 1997/98 side beating Noel’s beloved Manchester City.
The decisive finish was headed home by one of their very own “dyed in the wool” Blues, too: Paul Butler, who scored the only goal of the Championship fixture to beat City in their own barn back at Maine Road.
More importantly, the NWCL club used the opportunity to capitalise on the old adage of ‘no press is bad press’, writing in the caption: “Here’s our ticket link if you wanna roll with it and watch the champions in action.”
At the end of the day, it did get people talking – not a bad result for the non-league team.
Now, less than a month until the Premier Division champions get underway in the 25/26 campaign, we can wholeheartedly recommend going along to Gigg Lane to see what moves the Shakers are making.
For starters, they’re heading into the new term with a big-brand partnership already under their belt.
