Tickets to the most hotly-anticipated show on the Manchester theatre scene in recent memory officially go on sale today.
In case you missed it, it was announced to serious excitement among theatre fans at the end of last month that Hamilton – one of the most successful musicals of the 21st century – is heading out on its first-ever tour of the UK later this year.
The multi-award winning musical created by Lin-Manuel Miranda has captivating and engaging audiences like no other for close to a decade, and has taken Broadway and the West End – and the world – by storm since it first hit the stage.
First premiering Off-Broadway back in February 2015, the Olivier, Tony, Grammy, and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical production opened at the newly re-built and restored Victoria Palace Theatre in London in December 2017, where it continues to play to sell-out audiences, while also still drawing in record-breaking crowds on Broadway

The smash-hit production has also transferred over to Toronto in Canada, as well as Australia, and Germany, with other international ventures also planned – but a UK tour is on the agenda first.

What is Hamilton about?
Unfamiliar with the cultural phenomenon that is Hamilton? Well, to put it simply – “Hamilton is the story of America then, told by America now.”
Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway, Hamilton has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre – going on to become a musical that’s had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.
Based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography, Hamilton has a book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire.

An original Broadway cast recording of the show also became a hit movie on Disney+ in 2020.
When does the UK tour start? And what cities is it heading to?
The Hamilton 2023 UK Tour starts on Saturday 11 November.
Although it’s being billed as a UK tour, the production is actually only heading to two cities – with Manchester being the first place it takes to the stage, before it heads on up to the Scottish capital of Edinburgh for a run at the Festival Theatre from Wednesday 28 February – Saturday 27 April 2024.

When is Hamilton playing in Manchester?
The Hamilton UK tour will open in Manchester on Saturday 11 November 2023 for a 15-week season until Saturday 24 February 2024.
When do tickets go on sale? And where can you buy them?
While tickets for ATG Theatrecard holders already went on sale last Friday 10 March at 10am, and other priority access sales have already been held, the question you’ve presumably all been looking for the answer to is when can you grab general sale tickets in Manchester.
General sale tickets for Hamilton at Manchester Palace Theatre officially go on sale this morning (Monday 13 March) at 10am.

How much will tickets cost?
With shows happening six days a week, excluding Sundays, and two shows a day every Saturday and selected Wednesdays – including several captioned performances, and facilities catering for the deaf / or hard of hearing – tickets will be available in a range of prices.
Tickets for the cheapest seats in the venue start from just £13, or from £36 on opening night.

What are the producers saying?
Hamilton producers Cameron Mackintosh and Jeffrey Seller are “excited” to be bringing the production to Manchester.
“Since the day the show opened at the Victoria Palace Theatre, London has embraced Hamilton with an enthusiasm we could never have imagined,” Jeffrey Seller explained.
“We are excited to embark on a UK tour and share this special musical with audiences in Manchester and Edinburgh first.”

Alex Warren at Co-op Live, Manchester – tickets, times, setlist and more for UK tour

Singer-songwriter and social media star Alex Warren is visiting Co-op Live, Manchester, for two nights of out of the ‘Ordinary’ live music.
One of the founding members of the TikTok group, the ‘Hype House’, which also included fellow pop performer Addison Rae, Warren has gone on to receive global recognition for his contributions to music.
Born in California, it’s no surprise his music has managed to catapult into the mainstream as he’s been mastering content creation since he was 10 on YouTube.
His music journey began back in 2021, when he released music as an independent artist in 2021 before signing a record deal one year later, dropping the chart-topping ‘Ordinary’ in 2025.
Now, Alex Warren prepares for his biggest UK tour to date, and he’s playing two shows right here in Manchester at the 23,500 seater Co-op Live in April and May.

Co-op Live has a strict curfew of 11pm, meaning you can still get home without ‘Chasing Shadows’.
Supporting Alex Warren on the night will be Claire Rosinkranz, a singer-songwriter from California with tracks like ‘Frankenstein’ and ‘Backyard Boy’.
How to get to Co-op Live
Tram
For those of you heading to Co-op Live, you’ll be glad to know it’s right next door to a rather famous big blue stadium and its integrated Metrolink stop.
Head along the light blue or orange lines directly to the Etihad Campus or Ashton-under-Lyne, and you can get off the tram literally spitting distance from the arena. You can find the full map HERE.
Trams run frequently on the Ashton-Eccles line to the Etihad stop, with services leaving every six minutes from the city centre and until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Bus
You can find the full list of bus routes HERE, with the one in closest proximity to the venue being the 53 bus, which runs from Cheetham Hill through to Higher Crumpsall, Old Trafford and Pendleton, leaving just a two-minute walk to Co-op Live.
If you’re driving, there is limited parking available at the venue, but this must be pre-booked ahead of time, and there are designated drop-off areas.
The postcode is M11 3DU, and you can follow the signs towards the wider Etihad Campus as you get closer; directions to the adjacent drop-off points will also be signposted.
Keep in mind that congestion on the roads close to the stadium is expected to gather around two hours prior to any event, so if you are travelling on the road, these are the suggested times they provide on event day, though estimates will obviously vary:
Alan Turing Way (both directions): plan an additional 20 minutes into any journey by road.
Hyde Road (eastbound): expect an additional 15 minutes to be added to your journey.
Mancunian Way (westbound): plan for an extra 10 minutes of travel time.
There are also three park-and-ride facilities near Co-op Live, but be advised that the Velopark and Holt Town stops will be closed post-event to help safely manage crowds:
Ashton West (Ashton line) – 184 spaces and 11 disabled spaces
Ladywell (Ashton-Eccles line) – 332 spaces and 22 disabled spaces
Walk/cycle
Lastly, Co-op Live is only a half-hour stroll from Manchester Piccadilly, and you could even walk along the canal all the way to the front door if you fancy taking the scenic route.
Greater Manchester now also offers the option to hire bikes on the Beryl app, with riders able to locate, unlock, get to their destination and then safely lock up the bike all through an easy-to-use app. There are hire points just near the south-west corner of the Etihad Stadium on Ashton New Road.

Peter Kay has just announced four intimate shows to raise money for a very worthy cause… but you can only get tickets if you live in these particular postcodes.
Comedy legend Peter Kay is set to return home to the Bolton Albert Halls for four very special hometown shows in this summer, marking his first performances at the venue more than two decades.
Taking to the very stage where he recorded the UK’s biggest-selling stand-up DVD, it’s set to be a proper nostalgic homecoming for one of Britain’s most beloved comedians.
The summer shows – which are taking place from 9 – 11 July 2026, even including a matinee performance – this is a rare chance for local fans to be part of something incredibly special, with all funds raised going to Bolton Hospice.
But, there’s a bit of a catch… you’ll only be able to get tickets if you live in Bolton (and some parts of Bury), as it’s strictly limited to BL postcodes.
