Blossoms and Liam Gallagher will stream their own live gigs from London in December – using virtual reality technology for a unique 360° view.
Stockport boys Blossoms revealed they’d be hosting a one-off virtual show at O2 Academy Brixton on December 3.
Titled appropriately “Live from London”, the gig will be streamed around the world through the music virtual reality app MelodyVR.
Fans can watch the show on their smartphones and VR headsets, giving them total control over the camera angle and view of the stage for an immersive experience.
Tickets cost a tenner.
But Blossoms aren’t the only Mancs to get behind this 2020-style of gigging in the coming month.
Last week, Liam Gallagher took to Twitter to tease us with the trailer of a virtual show of his own, titled “Down By The River Thames”.
The singer has confirmed the show will be aired on December 5 – also via the MelodyVR platform.
In the trailer, the youngest Gallagher brother is accompanied by his full band on the banks of a picturesque looking River Thames, in what looks like the perfect moody setting.
Tickets for the show are on sale here and will set you back £16.50.
