Ian Brown has announced his first headline tour in more than a decade.
The Stone Roses frontman is set to perform huge gigs across the UK, including a homecoming show in Manchester.
His solo headline tour will kick off in Leeds on 25 September, before arriving at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse on 30 September.
Brown pulled out of several festival appearances in 2021, saying he refused to perform at events with Covid rules in place.
He cancelled his headline appearance at Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington, saying on Twitter: “My Saturday night headline show at NHBD Weekender Festival will now not happen!
“I refuse to accept vaccination proof as condition of entry. Refunds are available!”
He had previously tweeted: “I will NEVER sing to a crowd who must be vaccinated as a condition of attendance. NEVER EVER!”
Ian Brown was the lead singer of the Stone Roses, one of the most influential bands to come out of Manchester’s world-famous music scene.
He has since forged a successful solo career with seven solo albums all reaching the top 20 of the UK album chart.
The musician was named Godlike Genius in the 2006 NME Awards, and also won Q’s Legend Award in 2007.
