Oasis pre-sale update as fans anxiously wait for ballot confirmations
'An unprecedented volume of entries'
Oasis has shared a new statement today updating fans on the pre-sale ballot that was announced last night, as thousands are still waiting for confirmation emails.
The group have said that they have been hit with ‘an unprecedented volume of entries’ for their hotly-anticipated reunion shows.
Fans have waited 15 long years for Liam and Noel Gallagher (as well as the rest of the band) to get back together.
And they’re finally doing it, in spectacular fashion, with 14 shows across the UK and Ireland that are bound to sell out at light speed.
The Oasis reunion shows will include four nights at Heaton Park in July 2025, as well as gigs at Wembley Stadium, Croke Park in Dublin, and Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.
While the general sale on tickets doesn’t go live until 9am on Saturday 31 August, the band have announced a pre-sale that will take place on Friday.
Fans will have to pre-register for the pre-sale by supplying some personal information as well as answering a general knowledge question about Oasis.
People will then be chosen through a ballot to have a chance to buy pre-sale tickets on Friday.
Pre-sale registrations for the Oasis gigs went live at 7pm on Tuesday 27 August and will close at 7pm on Wednesday 28 August.
So many fans flocked to register last night that the website did briefly go down.
And many people today have been panicking that they still haven’t received a confirmation email, leading Oasis to issue the following statement:
“We are aware that many of you are still waiting on a confirmation email.
“Rest assured they are on their way, as we process an unprecedented volume of entries.
“Everyone who has filled out the ballot form by 7pm BST today, Wednesday 28th August, will receive an email where they can confirm their entry in the ballot.”
Those who are successful will then receive an email containing a code from oasismynet on Friday 30 August 2024 by 12pm BST. If you do not receive an email, your application has not been successful.
The codes are non-transferrable and ticket sales are limited to four per person.
You can register here.
