It has been confirmed that popular International all-you-can-eat buffet Peachy Keens is to close down permanently.
The restaurant, which has been sat inside Manchester’s Printworks since 2014, was one of a handful of restaurants that popped up during a world buffet boom that seemed to be sweeping the city at the time.
The news comes just one month after it was revealed that Waxy O’Connor’s, Peachy Keen’s downstairs neighbour, was also shutting down permanently.

Speaking on their Facebook page, Peachy Keens wrote: “Dear all, we are closing down permanently. Thanks for your continue support.”
The cuisine on offer at Peachy Keens was a mixture of chinese, mexican, italian, indian and thai and was frequently visited by stag and hen parties or groups of friends needing an easy pre-drink meal.

The restaurant even participated in the Eat Out To Help Out scheme back in July last year, however with the closures since then, it seems the current climate has took its toll on the business.
Facebook
Responding to the company’s farewell post on Facebook, one user wrote: “Aw no we absolutely love this place, so very sad to hear its closing down.

“So many happy memories with family & friends. Always went for a meal before a concert.”
Another wrote: “I was so looking forward to coming in when everything opened up again, please tell the tandoori chef he makes the best lamb chops ever.”
The restaurant will close effective immediately.

Manchester Christmas Markets will be taking over the city centre this festive season, with hundreds of little wooden huts lining the streets.

Another date for your diary is the Manchester Christmas Parade, which will see floats and performers filling the city on Sunday 6 December.

The always-popular Yorkshire Pudding Wraps from Porky Pig will be back in Exchange Square, along with the iconic Witch House German bratwursts a short distance away on New Cathedral Street.
Other traders we loved in 2025 who’ll be returning this year include Great North Pie, Flat Baker, Hong Kong French Toast, and Oi Dumplings.

Travel advice and how to get to the Manchester Christmas Markets
As usual, passengers are advised to travel with public transport wherever possible, as the city centre will be very busy with both Christmas Markets visitors and shoppers.
There are eight tram stops in the city centre that will put you within walking distance of the festivities, with St Peter’s Square the closest to the main site at Albert Square.
Trains and buses also serve the city centre well, but if you really need to drive, TfGM is advising to make use of the park and ride system rather than risking traffic delays in town.
Tickets officially go on sale for rare 70mm IMAX screenings of Dune: Part Three in Manchester

Tickets have now officially gone on sale for rare 70mm IMAX screenings of Dune: Part Three in Manchester.
Arriving on screens from 18 December and gearing up to be one of the most anticipated films of the year, Dune: Part Three – which is the third and final instalment in director Denis Villeneuve’s Dune franchise – will be screening in IMAX 70mm at Vue Manchester Printworks, one of only three venues to show it in this format nationwide.
There are only 40 other venues across the globe showing the film in IMAX 70mm, and Manchester is the only city outside of London to screen the blockbuster this way too.
Based on the novels of Frank Herbert and set nearly two decades after the previous film, Dune: Part Three features an ensemble cast of all-star names led by Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya.
Alongside them will be Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Anya Taylor-Joy, Rebecca Ferguson, Robert Pattinson, Charlotte Rampling, Javier Bardem, and Josh Brolin.
After seats for a special early screening of the film in IMAX sold out in less than 30 minutes last month, the IMAX 70mm showings – which officially went live today (20 October) – are expected to be snapped up fast by film fans in Manchester.
“A decade in the making, Denis Villeneuve’s epic Dune trilogy is reaching its dramatic conclusion this December,” explained Dean Cross, who is the Senior Screen Content Manager at Vue.
“As the only venue outside of London to be screening Dune: Part Three in IMAX 70mm, it’s a privilege for us to offer this unique way to experience the film.”
