Cloudwater Brewery is teaming up with Higher Ground to provide a whole new kind of meal delivery service to Mancunians.
If there was ever a food & drink match made in heaven, this is it.
Cloudwater have been making some of the highest-quality beer in Manchester since 2014, whilst Higher Ground, a pop-up restaurant at Kampus (the new garden neighbourhood created by HBD and Capital & Centric), has morphed into a sought-after delivery service.
Now, the two brands have teamed up to send outstanding luxury food & drink packages to residents and NHS workers in Manchester who find themselves missing the fine dining experience.
Customers can treat themselves to a proper 'evening out' in the house by pairing tasty beer with ready-to-eat dishes whipped up by famous chef Joe Otway - previously the kitchen head at Where The Light Gets In.
The dishes include Beef Madrasty (a pasty made from braised beef shin); Braised Yellow Hodmedod’s Peas in a comforting daal; and Sag Aloo made with Maris Peer potatoes, foraged wild garlic and Farrington's parsnips.
Delivery slots are still available for Manchester city centre this weekend.
You can place your order online at any time.
For every two dishes sold, one is given directly to an NHS worker.
Cloudwater and Higher Ground have also come up with meals you can make at home yourself in less than half-an-hour.
These will be accompanied by live cooking demos - the first of which is broadcast live tonight (Friday 17 April) at 7pm via IGTV.
The menu for the first Joe's 29 Minute Meal includes:
- Pork shoulder braised in milk with leek, thyme and fennel seeds
- Crushed roasted potato, courgette and Manchester wild garlic
- Carrots baked in Cloudwater beer grains
- Shredded cabbage and burnt apple salad
You'll also get four cans of Cloudwater Brew Helles to knock back whilst you're cooking.
