One of Manchester’s best pizza joints is giving away 500 free slices to celebrate the opening of its new Slice Shop, between 12pm and 3pm on Tuesday 26 April.

Nell’s New York Pizza & Bar at Kampus will open up a new area next week dedicated to its famous – and massive – pizza slices.

People will be able to grab wedges of Nell’s 22-inch pizzas for as little as £2.25 a slice, including its popular Do You ‘Roni Honey pizza topped with ‘nduja, pepperoni and chilli honey.

But the New York-style pizza will be flying out free of charge next week for the first 500 people to rock up at Kampus from midday.

Nell’s comes from the award-winning team behind Manchester institution Common, as well as The Beagle and Port Street Beer House.

The pizza concept opened its first dedicated site (it had previously operated out of the kitchens at Common and The Beagle) at Kampus last year, the first in a string of local independents headed to the city’s new garden neighbourhood.

With its new Slice Shop, Nell’s will be able to sling out slices of 22-inch pizza alongside its delicious dips.

Flavours will include the classic OG Cheese, the Burrata, and vegan-friendly options like the Marinara Plus (topped with black olives, breadcrumbs and basil oil) and the Mushroom (garlic cashew cream base, mushrooms, chilli flakes and marinara sauce).

Nell’s dips range from chilli honey to truffle mayo to jalapano and lime crema.
