A popular Northern Quarter ice cream parlour is opening a second site in Manchester city centre.
Lazy Sundae, which is known for its adventurous ice cream flavours, bubble teas and jiggly Japanese souffle pancakes, will move into the Arndale shopping centre later this year.
Taking over the space formerly home to Ancoats General Store’s shortlived Kiosk coffee site at the shopping centre’s £11m Halle Square, the Tib Street favourite will serve up all of its hits desserts and frozen treats to shoppers this summer.
The new addition will add to the centre’s diverse food offering, which spans everything from big international restaurant chains like Slim Chickens and Tim Hortons to tiny market stall independents like Hong Thai and Takoyaki Master.
On the menu, fans can expect more of their Northern Quarter flavours with ice creams available in a multitude of flavours and served either in tubs or in Lazy Sundae’s signature oreo or cereal encrusted cones.
