A little independent chocolatier in Manchester city centre has scooped six prestigious chocolate awards.
Dormouse Chocolates, the now multi award-winning chocolate maker tucked away on Deansgate Mews at Great Northern in the heart of Manchester city centre, is celebrating a significant victory at the UK Heat of the International Chocolate Awards, and quite-rightly so too, as it’s taken home some pretty prestigious honours.
The popular city centre-based indie won itself a total of six awards.
The beloved business bagged a bronze award for its Afromuvaras Woman’s Association 60% Milk Chocolate, a silver award for its Qori Warmi Peru 75% Dark Chocolate, and a whopping four gold awards for its Bread-and-Butter bars.
Dormouse Chocolate’s Bread-and-Butter bars – which are known and loved for their unique blend of smooth chocolate and nostalgic flavours – were also crowned the overall winner of the ‘Flavoured Chocolate Bars’ category.
Founder Isobel Carse said she’s “incredibly honoured” by the recognition, and says that each award reflects the company’s “dedication to quality”.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the company, or haven’t had the chance to pop in and give the shop a little visit yet, then Dormouse Chocolates is dedicated to creating high-quality and ethically-sourced chocolate products that highlight the unique flavours of cacao from all four corners of the globe, right here in Manchester.
Even before this, the chocolatier already had a bunch of accolades to its name thanks to all the innovative and delicious products it makes, but now this latest awards haul just solidifies its reputation as a leading name in the artisanal chocolate industry even further.
