The Oast House launches airline trolley service to give guests that ‘in-flight fizz feeling’

One of Manchester’s most popular outdoor venues has launched a brand new airline drinks trolley concept.

The new trolley will tour the bar’s extensive beer garden on busy days.

While the chances of taking a flight this summer are still up in the air for many, that in-flight feeling might be available a little closer to ground level in Manchester thanks to The Oast House’s brand-new airline trolley drink service.

The ‘Oastess Trolley’ is designed to recreate the buzz of being served the first holiday drink on an airplane.

The trolley will travel around the pub’s extensive collection of outdoor tables to serve guests throughout the day and ensure that all the customers – both walk-in and booked – have a drink in hand.

Like any decent trolley-service, guests can choose from a selection of packaged beers, spirits and, of course, the iconic European spritz, Aperol.

The trollies also serve a practical use too as they make use of the socially-distanced aisles created between tables to ensure people “keep their imaginary seatbelts fastened and remain in their seats”.

Speaking on the launch of the ‘Oastess Trolley’, Matt Lewty at The Oast House said: “We know that guests miss both ordering from the bar and are craving to be back on an airplane.

” We’ve had many guests book their table in place of foreign hen-dos or group trips abroad, so this will go some way to giving those missed holiday memories a second chance”.

He continued: “As a pub, we believe in providing a magic experience to guests all year round.

“The trolleys were born out of trying to keep the experience of being at the bar, but being mindful of respecting the government’s guidelines”.

The Oast House is currently taking pre-bookings and is accepting walk-ins.
