KFC's original recipe seasoning can be enjoyed by ALL tomorrow as the fast food chain make history with a UK-wide launch of their brand new vegan burger.
The much anticipated vegan chicken burger will be in every single branch of KFC in the UK on Thursday 2 January, 2020 – so, again, TOMORROW.
Vegans and veggies alike will be able to start a brand new decade with their first ever permanent menu item featuring all the famous 11 herbs and spices, but with zero chicken, of course.
The brand new burger will pay homage to Kentucky Fried Chicken's legendary Chicken Fillet burger – with the fillet being replaced with a bespoke Quorn fillet.
Finished in a soft glazed bun, the burger is topped with lettuce and vegan mayo.
The introduction of the item as a permanent fixture on their menus comes after one of fast food's most successful ever trials, in which the burger sold out in just four days in London, Bristol and the Midlands last summer.
Restaurants stocked the burger for what they thought would be a three month trial offering, but with demand over 500% higher than predicted, the burgers didn't even last a week.
Ira Dubinsky, Innovation Director at KFC UK and Ireland said: “The Colonel was all about welcoming everyone to his table – now vegans, flexitarians and our fried chicken fans can all enjoy the taste of our Original Recipe together."
