Thirty Seconds To Mars have rescheduled their Manchester gig just one month before it was due to take place, citing ‘delays in Jared Leto’s filming schedule’.
The rock band, fronted by one of Hollywood’s most famous actors, have had to reschedule some of the European leg of their 2024 tour.
The group were set to play at the AO Arena in Manchester on 19 April, but are changing all their UK shows to new dates.
Issuing an update today, Thirty Seconds To Mars ‘sincerely apologised’ for any inconvenience caused by the changes.
They said that the SAG-AFTRA Actors strike, which went on for a whopping 118 days and plunged the film industry into a standstill, was the reason for the need to shift to a new date.
Thirty Seconds to Mars are now set to play in Manchester on 7 June, almost two months later than planned.
Their arena shows in Nottingham, London, Glasgow, Birmingham and Cardiff have all also been rescheduled.
The band wrote: “Due to the SAG-AFTRA Actors’ strike and subsequent delays in Jared’s filming schedule, some of the EU/UK dates of our Seasons World Tour have been rescheduled.
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We can’t wait to see you all on the road very soon. Thank you for understanding.”
All tickets for the original show will be honoured for the new date.
The Seasons 2024 World Tour will be Thirty Seconds to Mars’ first headline tour in more than five years, and will be celebrating both their new album and their catalogue of songs from their 20 year history.
Speaking of the tour, they said: “This tour is a celebration of ALL our fans – whether you discovered us in early 2000s dorm rooms; in the alternative, rock or emo scenes; or on TikTok today.
“We are making sure our setlists will include classic songs we haven’t played in years along with all of the hits from the different SEASONS OF MARS!”
