Get excited. Superstar singer-songwriter Alanis Morisette is coming to Manchester.

The Canadian-American musician is celebrating the 25th anniversary of her critically-acclaimed album "Jagged Little Pill" with a European tour - and Manchester Arena has been earmarked for an October date.

Morisette was already a familiar name in Canada by 1995, but it wasn't until the release of her third record - which saw a shift to a rockier sound - that she broke globally.

Singles "You Oughtta Know", "Ironic" and "You Learn" all smashed the UK top ten, elevating the singer to stardom.

Morisette's three-decade career has resulted in eight studio albums, and her latest record "Such Pretty Forks In The Road" is slated for release in late spring.

The huge tour begins in Copenhagen before making its way over to the Arena on October 4.

Tickets go on sale on Friday February 28 at 9am through Ticketmaster. More information is available here.

There's also a Live Nation pre-sale taking place on February 27.
