Liam Gallagher has responded to the release of lost Oasis track

Nearly five months in, and 2020 continues to be as weirdly unpredictable as ever.

This week saw yet another addition to the ever-growing list of things we never thought we'd see in a lifetime: A new release from Oasis.

Noel Gallagher discovered an unreleased copy of the demo as he sifted through his collection of old CDs and decided to upload the track online - making "Don't Stop..." the first Oasis track to be released for over a decade.

Now Noel's brother Liam - whose campaign for a band reunion continues to fall on deaf ears - has responded to the song on Twitter.

"Don't Stop..." doesn't feature Liam on vocals; with the floaty, acoustic track putting Noel in the role of lead singer instead.

Perhaps it should come as no surprise that LG was unimpressed.

His tweet reads: "Oi tofu boy if your gonna release old demos make sure im singing on it and boneheads playing guitar on it if not it’s not worth a wank as you were LG x"

One user asked Liam if his brother had notified him about dropping the song in advance. LG's retort: "NO and he’s in trouble."

It seems like this sibling rivalry is destined to rumble on forever.

The full Twitter thread is available here - complete with all the colourful LG quotes you could hope for.

If you fancy making your own mind up on the track in the meantime, though, you can listen to "Don't Stop..." here:
