People stocking up on McDonald’s Big Mac sauce pots encounter same issue

Big Mac fans flocked to the Golden Arches this week as the fast food chain began selling pots of the iconic sauce that define these classic burgers.

However, after bundling the containers into their fridges at home, customers made a realisation.

This dressing has an alarmingly short expiry date.

Big Mac Sauce buyers are now left with the task of tucking into their entire pot collection in a matter of days - which can be a good or bad thing depending on which way you choose to look at it.

Whilst the dates on the side of packaging states the sauce will expire within one month, there's another message suggesting it should be consumed on day of purchase - resulting in some confusion.

The sauce pots are specially stored in McDonald's branches in chillers, which keeps them fresh for several weeks.

However, according to McDonald's, the 50p pots have a seven-day shelf life when taken home... leaving stockpilers with one week to finish them from date of purchase.

Big Mac Sauce is only available for a limited amount of time and can be ordered both in store and via the Uber Eats app.
