Paul Pogba’s ‘worst nightmare’ realised as home burgled while his children were sleeping

Manchester United star Paul Pogba has said this his family home was burgled while his children were sleeping.

The midfielder said that his family’s ‘worst nightmare’ was realised on Tuesday evening, which also happened to be his birthday.

Burglars broke into his home while Pogba’s ‘babies were sleeping in their bedroom’.

The incident took place while the French footballer was on the pitch, with Man Utd facing off against Atlético Madrid.

He said in a heartfelt update last night that he and his wife rushed home, ‘not knowing if our children were safe and unharmed’.

He added: “As a father there is no feeling worse in this world than not being there to protect your children and I sincerely hope that no one ever has to feel what I felt last night.”

Pogba wrote that the burglars were inside his property for less than five minutes.

He is now offering a reward for anyone with information who can help them.

Manchester United has shared their support for the player, writing: “Everybody at Manchester United is thinking of Paul Pogba and his family following an incident at the midfielder’s home on Tuesday.

“We are sending our best wishes to Paul and his family at this difficult time.”

Paul Pogba’s full update says: “Last night our family’s worst nightmare was realized when our home was broken into and burglarized while our babies were sleeping in their bedroom.

“The burglars were in our home for less than five minutes but in that time they took from us something more valuable than anything we had in our home… our sense of safety and security.

“This occurred during the final minutes of last night’s match when they knew that we would not be home. My wife and I rushed home not knowing if our children were safe and unharmed.

“As a father there is no feeling worse in this world than not being there to protect your children and I sincerely hope that no one ever has to feel what I felt last night.
