A huge Stevie Nicks gig that was set to take place in Manchester this week has been postponed.

The rock legend, famed for her work with Fleetwood Mac as well as her impressive solo career, was meant to play at the Co-op Live on Tuesday 9 July.

But due an injury, the star has now pulled out of the scheduled gig, as well as her Glasgow date which was called off just hours before doors opened.

In a statement shared on Instagram stories over the weekend, it was announced that Stevie Nicks requires a ‘minor surgical procedure’ which will put her out of action for ‘a few days’.

A new date for Stevie Nicks’ Manchester show hasn’t yet been announced.

It’s thought that she will still be able to go ahead with her huge outdoor show at Hyde Park in London this weekend.

It’s left fans and ticket-holders gutted.

One person wrote: “Stevie nicks manchester POSTPONED my week can’t get worse.”

Another said: “Absolutely devastated that Stevie has postponed her Manchester gig. I’ve been so excited for months.”

Someone else posted: “Wishing Stevie Nicks a very speedy recovery. A bit gutted that her Manchester show is postponed but her health is the most important thing. I honestly don’t know how artists in their mid 70s still tour. It must be unbelievably exhausting… Respect!!”

And then, of course, there were plenty of comments on the Co-op Live’s page yelling for new Olivia Rodrigo dates to be announced.

The full statement shared on Stevie Nicks’ Instagram page said: “Due to a recent leg injury requiring a minor surgical procedure that will need a few days of recovery time, Stevie Nicks’ scheduled performances in Glasgow Saturday 6 July and Manchester Tuesday 9 July have been postponed.

“More information will be available at point of purchase, ticketholders are advised to hold on to their tickets as rescheduled dates will be announced soon.

“Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone at Hyde Park in London.”
