It’s a big new development for the city.

A landmark new building in Salford has taken a step closer to welcoming its first residents this week as Pavilion Wharf tops out.

The 17-storey apartment building is being constructed right on the banks of the River Irwell, with many apartments having stunning waterside and city views.

Pavilion Wharf will also be home to a communal garden terrace and a rooftop terrace – an oasis from the bustling city nearby.

There are 160 apartments in total, with a mixture of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, including penthouses, all with a luxury finish.

And every home comes with fully-integrated kitchen appliances and white goods, plus juliette balconies.

Amenities on site will include a gym, a cinema room, a residents’ lounge, concierge services, a private dining room with a terrace overlooking the river, underground car parking and secure bicycle storage.

The development comes from Forshaw Group, with Domis on the construction side, and is set to complete in May 2024.

On Friday, Pavilion Wharf topped out, marking a major milestone in its development.

The Manc got a sneak peek at some of the apartments that will be available to move into next summer, with a few apartments still up for sale.

When it completes, residents will find themselves just minutes’ walk from bustling areas of Manchester city centre like Castlefield, Deansgate and Spinningfields, as well as all that Salford itself has to offer.

There are local shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance or an easy bike ride, and frequent bus services nearby will whisk you away to other parts of Greater Manchester.
