Special edition PUMA x Man City x Madchester jersey goes on sale
The new PUMA x Man City x Madchester.com jersey has officially gone on sale this morning.
The special edition Manchester City shirt – which pays tribute to the Madchester era of basement raves and bucket hats – was leaked online on Wednesday.
First images showed the shirt featured a melting Man City logo (a nod to the smiley face and Sweat It Out warehouse parties of the rave days), Stone Roses-style paint splatter print, and the number 89 (marking an iconic year in Manchester’s cultural history).
The official shirt release on July 8 comes off the back of a teaser campaign – which saw a variety of cryptic MDCR posters pop up around the city.
The special edition PUMA x Man City x Madchester.com jersey has also gone on sale as part of a bigger collection of branded clothing.
