One of Love Island’s most famous contestants was spotted working out in Manchester gym Hero – but it was all a bit more chaotic than his normal fitness content.

Davide Sanclimenti, who won season 8 of the hit ITV dating show with his girlfriend Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, chose to use Hero – a luxury independent gym on the edge of the Northern Quarter – to film his latest social media workout videos.

While we all got pretty accustomed to seeing the Italian heartthrob flexing his muscles in the villa’s outdoor gym on TV, his moves in Hero were a little more out-of-the-box.

In videos shared on social media, Davide was seen riding a bike upside-down, dangling from bars, and basically doing the worm against a set of dumbbells.

The spoof video, titled ‘POV: it’s your first day in the gym’ were filmed at Hero Training Clubs at Angel Gardens as part of his campaign with boohooMAN, which is also based here in Manchester.

A second video was later shared which showed Davide knocking back a scoop of energising pre-workout in the gym’s cafe area, before he attacked every piece of equipment in the Athletic Studio in fast-motion.

Speed-boxing, flinging battle ropes around and more upside-down cycling were all part of the video series, which have pulled in half a million views on boohooMAN’s channels.

Hero was chosen as the location for Davide and boohooMAN’s latest collab, who both said how much they loved the gym’s aesthetic (lots of concrete, neon lights, exposed brick and natural light, if you’ve not checked it out yet) and the high-quality equipment.

Davide even said it was his ‘ideal gym to train in as it has everything’.

He’s not wrong.
