Paid extras wanted for ‘major’ period drama film shooting in Manchester
Your chance to be a star... (sort of).
A major new period drama film is to begin shooting in Manchester very soon, and locals are needed to be extras.
Ever wondered what it’s like to step behind the scenes of a major motion picture? Fancy playing a part in making an idea come to life on screen? This could be your chance, as The Casting Collective is currently on the look-out for residents across Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas to be extras for a new film.
The London-based casting agency “urgently” needs a large number of people for the production, and is calling on locals to apply to take part now.
Although not much is known about the project at this time, with a lot of the details like title, plot, cast, exact filming locations, and production crew seemingly being kept under wraps for now, what the casting directors have revealed is that it’s a major period drama feature film.
And if all of that wasn’t exciting enough as it is, you’ll also be paid to take part too.
The casting call for paid extras on the agency’s website reads: “We are looking for people of all ethnicities, ages, and genders for filming in Manchester from September 2024 for a major period drama feature film
Good rates of pay. You must be aged 17+ with a valid NI number in order to apply.
“Our urgent casting calls are fully compliant with the UK Equality Act. While we may specify certain characteristics sought by productions for casting purposes, we warmly invite applications from individuals of all genders, ethnicities, and ages; all will be considered, and no discrimination should be implied.”
