A popular makeup brand is hosting an open casting in Manchester to find “real people” for its next beauty campaign.

Following on from the success of its previous campaign in 2021, where the leading beauty brand made the pioneering move to ban all filters and editing of any models and influencers across its branded content, Collection Cosmetics has revealed it’s now looking to take things one step even further.

The company is gearing up to launch its new ‘Real-Life Beauty’ campaign.

The new campaign is all about “being the real you”, and is setting out to celebrate, champion, and elevate everyday expression in real life moments.

And what better way to showcase this than by using regular people rather than professional models? That’s why the brand has decided to kick-start the new campaign with an open casting right here in Greater Manchester this week for ‘real people’ to become the face of the collection.

Anyone wishing to take part in the open casting just needs to complete the casting form here first, and then make their way down to FourFive Studios in Salford.

Taking place this Friday 8 March – which also happens to be International Women’s Day – and open to everyone over the age of 18, Collection says candidates will experience “a typical casting” where they’ll have photos taken, and meet the ‘Real Life Beauty’ panel – which includes beauty experts, models, influencers, and the company’s Marketing Director.

During the casting process – which will operate a first-come, first-served basis – candidates will be asked a series of questions, including what their favourite Collection product is and why, and what the term ‘Real Life Beauty’ means to them.

The winner from the open casting will get to become a brand ambassador and be invited to the company’s next photo shoot, with the images then used for the new product launch in spring/summer.

They’ll also win a year’s supply of Collection Cosmetics, and a whopping £300 voucher too.
