Text from landlord to his tenant goes viral for all the right reasons

Support for a Manchester landlord has poured in after a tenant tweeted a message he sent out.

During testing times amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and with employment circumstances changing for many, renters up and down the country will understandably be feeling concerned about covering rent and bills payments over the coming months.

Knowing the feelings of anxiety and uncertainty that his tenants must currently be faced with, one Manchester landlord has reached out to offer reassurance and it's just absolutely bloody lovely.

Amy Gledhill, from Bury, tweeted out the text she received from her landlord, Chris, this morning:

The tweet has amassed hundreds of thousands of retweets, likes and comments with many calling for 'Chris Landlord' to become Prime Minister and honestly, who could argue?

One reply said: "That's the sort of landlord, all private renting tenants, could with right now. Money isn't everything. People's lives and good health, come before anything else."

Another said: "Chris Landlord is a bloody decent human being. Be like Chris Landlord."

If 'Chris Landlord' is reading this, please run for PM, you've got our vote.

Another pat on the back for Manchester!
