Tipping Point is on the lookout for Mancs to compete in the next series

Emily Sergeant Emily Sergeant - 12th April 2021

Hit ITV game show Tipping Point is gearing up to film a new series and is searching for Mancunians to appear.

Hosted by Ben Shepherd, Tipping Point – the show which first aired in 2012 and sees four contestants answer questions on the subject of general knowledge to win counters which they use on a large coin pusher arcade-style machine – is set to return to our television screens for its 12th series in 2021.

And the people of Greater Manchester are being encouraged to get involved.

“We are searching for fun, confident people who enjoy quizzing and would like the opportunity to win thousands of pounds using a combination of skill, judgement and chance.” ITV said.

Usually airing between 4pm and 5pm every weekday, Tipping Point sees contestants answer a series of questions, before taking on the ‘tipping point’ machine, where they can earn money from the silver counters – which are worth £50 – or ‘mystery counters’, and the £10,000 jackpot counter to boost their cash pile.

Only the winner at the end of the show has the chance to take home any money.

The other contestants leave with nothing except any non-cash prizes they may have won during the game.
