Wilko has confirmed that its popular half price Pick & Mix cups are back in stores across the UK from tomorrow.
Stocking up on sweet treats to satisfy those sugar cravings is always tempting at the best of times, but it’s perhaps even more tempting when you can save yourself a few pennies while you’re at it.
This is probably why Wilko’s half price Pick & Mix always goes down so well.
Now that schools are out for half term, and Easter being the ideal time to treat yourself to something sweet, the retail chain has confirmed that it will be bringing back its popular 50% off discount for a limited time only from Friday 8 April.
This means that cups of sweets will be priced at £1 for a standard size, rather than the usual price of £2.

A medium cup will be reduced from £3 to £1.50, and the large cup will cost £2 instead of £4.
Wilko Pick & Mix typically features a wide variety of retro sweets that take you right back to your childhood, including cola bottles, chocolate jazzies, jelly snakes, gummy teeth, and so much more.

All you’ll need to do is pick your choice of cup, fill it up to the top with your favourite sweets chocked inside – remember to keep it so the lid still fits securely – and then head over to the till where the discount will be automatically applied.
As has been the case when the deal has been available in the past and shoppers have flocked to their nearest store, Wilko is expecting it to be popular – and it seems like the retailer might be right, as a post spreading the word of the limited-time offer has been shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook, and amassed over 3.4k comments in less than 24 hours.
There are currently over 400 Wilko stores in the UK, and the half price deal applies to all branches that sell Pick & Mix, so if you want to make the most of the savings, the offer runs until Sunday 17 April.

Hundreds of katsu curries are being dished up and given out for free in Manchester this week, but only for certain people.
And those lucky people will be students.
That’s right… a new semester is upon us, and thousands of freshers and returning students are descending on the city and Manchester‘s many universities for another year. But the life of a student isn’t exactly the cheapest sometimes, especially for those who haven’t had to live on a budget before moving out or into halls.
But to make things a little easier, Tampopo has announced it’ll be serving hundreds of one of its most popular dishes for free this week.
Tampopo is celebrating National Katsu Curry Day in the most delicious way possible, by giving away 700 Katsu Curries with rice for free, exclusively to freshers and students this Sunday (27 September).
Whether you’re brand new to the city, settling back into uni life, or you’re simply in need of a katsu fix, students can head to their nearest participating Tampopo and tuck into a hearty meal without needing to spend a penny.
100 katsu curries will be available each from 12-2pm at both Tampopo restaurants in Manchester city centre – which are on Albert Square, and in the Corn Exchange – or if you head over to the Trafford Centre, both the Tampopo there and the East Street sites are taking part.
“[Our] Katsu Curry has long been one of our most-loved dishes, so National Katsu Curry Day felt like the perfect excuse to give students a proper welcome to the new academic year,” Tampopo said in a statement.
So, are you feeling hungry then? The offer is exclusively available for takeaway only to freshers and students with a valid student ID, which they must present on collection.
100 portions are available at each participating location, and just one free katsu curry with rice will be available per person.

Hotel prices have surged by a whopping 659% on Oasis Live ’27 opening night in Manchester

In some rather unfortunate but expected news, it has been revealed that Manchester hotel prices for Oasis Live ’27 next year have surged.
And not just surged by a little bit, surged by a lot… we’re talking a 659% surge.
Just as they did for the rumoured dates, the experts at SeatPick have gone on to analyse the average cost of accommodation in Manchester on the now-confirmed concert nights in June 2027 to see how much out-of-town fans may have to part with.
It was revealed that hotel prices have surged by 659% on Oasis’ opening night at the Etihad Stadium on 4 June 2027, while on the first weekend (5 and 6 June) of tour dates, they’ve soared by up to 462% and are, on average, 98% higher than a weekday price.
Overall, the analysis uncovered that 12 June has the most expensive average two-star hotel cost at £253, while the highest average five-star hotel is £409 for the night on 19 June.
“Our analysis uncovered an enormous markup for local accommodation on nights that Oasis is rumoured to perform in Manchester,” explained Gilad Zilberman, who is the CEO at ticket platform SeatPick.
“Being aware of these accommodation costs and additional expenses can help fans plan and avoid being caught off guard by inflated prices on concert nights.
“To find the best deals on hotels, concertgoers should scan budget chains in the city or look slightly outside of the centre in hotspots served by local bus routes or regional trains, such as Salford and Trafford.
