Six surprise campmates are rumoured to be joining the I’m A Celebrity jungle, in a new all-stars edition filmed in South Africa.

The initial line-up for I’m A Celebrity… South Africa has brought together some of the biggest names in the reality show’s history, including the likes of Amir Khan, Shaun Ryder, Carol Vorderman and Paul Burrell.

But now if the rumours are to be believed, six more famous faces will be joining the camp – and one of them is arguably the most infamous campmate of all.

Yep, the poo queen herself, Gillian McKeith, is set to head into the South African jungle, according to reports by The Sun.

In her time on the ITV show in 2010, Gillian became one of the most talked-about contestants in I’m A Celeb history, after she appeared to faint just before Bushtucker trials.

Another jungle legend in classical musician Myleene Klass is among the six rumoured surprise guests in the new series, which is set to air next week.

They’ll apparently be joined by actors Dean Gaffney, Joe Swash and Andy Whyment, and reality TV star Georgia Toffolo.

ITV had confirmed that more famous faces would be joining the already-announced line-up for I’m A Celebrity… South Africa, entering the camp as the series goes on.

The new series will ‘push them to their limits and test them like never before’, ITV has said, promising bigger and tougher challenges and an even harsher environment.

Also taking part from the launch episode will be Diversity star Jordan Banjo, TV presenter Carol Vorderman, Olympian Fatima Whitbread, former royal butler Paul Burrell, ex-England cricketer Phil Tufnell, and supermodel Janice Dickinson.

ITV said: “Whilst nodding back to the Australian jungle, I’m A Celebrity…South Africa is a uniquely different series so viewers can look forward to lots of unexpected twists and turns.”

Campmates will compete to be crowned the first ever I’m A Celebrity Legend – but unlike the original series, there’ll be no public vote.

I’m A Celebrity… South Africa will air on ITV1 and ITVX from April 2023.
