A FREE festival for dogs is taking over a Manchester city centre park later this month
This sounds SO cute.
A festival especially for dogs is all set to take over a popular Manchester city centre park for some “paw-tastic fun” later this month.
And the best bit about it? It’s absolutely FREE to head on down to.
Back by popular demand, after having proven to be such a smash-hit with both pups and their owners, and dog-lovers alike in recent years, the Ex-Paw Extravaganza festival is returning to Angel Meadow Park near Manchester‘s Green Quarter towards the end of this month for a jam-packed day of “pawsome activity”.
Kicking off from 11am and running right through until 4pm, this year’s dog-themed festivities include a selection of different stalls to shop from, dog agility courses, puppy play areas, hands-on pet first aid courses, and so much more.
There’s also set to be breed-specific meet ups on the day too, so you can take your four-legged friends to play with pups the same as them, all while you connect and get-to-know their like-minded owners too.
Foundation Coffee House will be offering free ‘puppacinos’ for all the dogs on the day, while the newly-opened CuppaPug cafe will also be attending the festival to educate attendees about pug welfare, and the responsibility and commitment it takes to own a pug and give them the life they deserve.
But, of course, the main event at this year’s Ex-Paw Extravaganza has to be the chance to enter your dog into the famous dog show – with five different categories, including ‘Cutest Pup’, ‘Golden Oldie’, ‘Waggiest Tail’, ‘Talentful Trickster’, and ‘Best Dressed’.
It’s just £4 to enter the competitions on the day, and an impressive 50% of entry fees will be donated to Manchester and Cheshire Dogs Home.
The winners of each category will get a sought-after Ex-Paw Rosette, and a goodie bag to take home.
The fun continues outside the park too, as Ex-Paw has partnered with the recently re-launched Fairfield Social Club, so festivalgoers can took into delicious street food served up by ISIT Kitchen, before heading over to the venue afterwards for an “after pawty”, if they fancy.
