It's good news after the Council cancelled all the usual displays.

A huge Bonfire Night celebration is planned for Mayfield Park in Manchester city centre, in partnership with Escape to Freight Island.

The massive event will feature two fireworks displays, with entertainment, DJs and walkabout performers.

It’s a chance to see huge fireworks in the region after Manchester City Council axed all the free council-organised events over ‘escalating costs’.

Manchester’s newest park and the neighbouring street food and events giant will be partnering up for a spectacular display on Friday 4 November.

The first session will take place between 5.30pm and 7.30pm with fireworks at 7pm.

The second session will run from 8pm until late, with fireworks at 9pm.

The glittering fireworks display will be viewable from both Escape to Freight Island and Mayfield Park.

Tickets include complimentary sparklers, live entertainment both indoor and out, and Fast Track entry into the park through a secure entrance, allowing visitors to nip between the venue and the park.
