The Lowry is offering free weekly wellbeing activities for kids and adults to enjoy at home
The Creativity For Wellbeing series will "boost your mood, enhance your energy, connect you with others and offer you a sense of calm".
The Lowry has today released a full timetable of free creative activities for children and adults to enjoy from home.
Now that that we are firmly within England’s third national lockdown amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Salford-based arts complex has launched its Creativity For Wellbeing series – which has been made possible thanks to funding from Arts Council England, Art Fund and Salford City Council – and it’s offering a range of activities through weekly workshops with professional artists that are designed to “boost your mood, enhance your energy, connect you with others and offer you a sense of calm”.
No experience or skill is necessary to join in, everyone is welcome and it’s all completely free.
Launching next Tuesday 19th January, the programme of workshops will run on the same day and time each week for at least the next five weeks to enable those home-schooling to factor events into daily lesson plans.
The events will either be delivered on Zoom, or streamed live on Facebook.
The full list of confirmed everts are:
- Under 7’s Dance Yourself Happy – Every Tuesday at 9:30am for 30 minutes.
- Colour and Craft – Every Wednesday at 12:30pm for 30 minutes.
