Primark is set to open a new store at the Trafford Centre, and the opening date has now been confirmed.
According to job adverts for the new store, it will be spread over two floors, spanning 65,000 square feet at the centre’s Barton Square redevelopment.
The budget fashion outlet will form part of Barton Square’s £74m revamp, which will create an additional 110,000 square feet of retail space.
Primark’s new store is set to open on Friday 20th March 2020, so it won’t be too much of a wait until you can grab some bargains while at the Trafford Centre.
To make things better, the new Metrolink line will hopefully open in April of this year - seven months earlier than planned.
Currently, Primark only have a small concession in Selfridges at the shopping centre, but will form the main hub of the new development.
A new glass dome roof was completed over the summer, and will be accompanied by statues, palm trees, a massive fountain, and marble and granite flooring, to keep the aesthetics in line with the rest of the Trafford Centre - it’s due to be completed this year.
