Here’s how to grab one of over a million £1 train tickets in Northern Rail’s flash sale
No discount codes are required to take advantage of the spend-savvy offer.
Northern has launched a £1 ticket sale this morning, and there’s more than a million tickets up for grabs.
The rail operator is making the advance purchase tickets available on Tuesday (24 August) for passengers to travel from 6 September to 22 October, and no discount codes are required to take advantage of the spend-savvy offer.
To take advantage of the offer, you will need to buy a ticket on Northern’s website or app.
Instead of applying a discount code, travellers will just need to search for a journey and, if it’s on one of the Advance Purchase routes with tickets are available, the reduced price rate will be presented.
More than one million £1 tickets are included in the offer, with children able to travel for just 50p.
Speaking on the launch of the flash ticket sale this morning, Mark Powles – Customer and Commercial Director at Northern Rail – said: “The past 18 months have been tough for all, and as things begin to return to normal we wanted to give our customers the chance to explore all the north has to offer for the best possible value.
“It also gives our customers the chance to see first-hand the palpable improvements we’ve made while they’ve been away.
“Our trains, stations and ticket buying options have never been better and together with our staff we are ready to help people across the north to go do your thing.”
This unmissable ticket offer comes following Northern’s introduction of 101 new trains, and installation of more than 600 ticket machines over the pandemic.
