Peter Kay is every single one of us in these photos of him having the best day out at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

The legendary comic, who recently returned to the spotlight after some time out, was spotted at his favourite theme park on Thursday having some pre-bank holiday fun.

Dressed in his now trademark bucket hat and cheque shirt, Peter recreated a photo that went viral back in 2015 and again in 2016.

Sharing both the new photo and two previous photos of Peter visiting the park on their Facebook page, Blackpool Pleasure Beach wrote: “It was great to have Peter Kay join us yesterday and true to style he wore one of his Blackpool Pleasure Beach shirts!”

A commenter replied: “Tell me why I’m obsessed with this picture of Peter Kay having the time of his life with Wallace and Gromit at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.”

Turns out Peter wasn’t just there for a photo opportunity, either, as multiple fans commented on the post claiming that they kept bumping into the comedian during their Pleasure Beach visit, with one fan saying: “Still can’t believe we kept bumping into him.”

Peter, 45, was also pictured posing with staff members of Blackpool-based Heritage Tram Tours.

The tram tours social media team wrote: “We do love a celebrity passenger on our tours, when we can’t get one @ PeterKay_co_uk will do instead! He kindly allowed a a photo with the driver and conductor on Boat 600 this afternoon.”

Earlier this month, Peter returned to the stage for two sell-out shows at the Manchester Apollo in aid of Laura Nuttall, 21, from Pendle in Lancashire, who is battling Glioblastoma, a grade four brain cancer.

While admitting he was nervous, Peter said taking to the stage again was ‘like getting in a hot bath’ as the comic was welcomed back to a rapturous standing ovation.

At the live Q&A, Kay said he’d written two new episodes of Max and Paddy that he’d love to create alongside longtime friend and colleague Paddy McGuinness – but he’s yet to confirm, or even tease, a return to stand-up comedy.

Regardless of whether that happens or not, it’s just great to see Peter back in the public eye, and happy to be in it.
