Police in Manchester have issued an appeal for information after two separate assaults against women happened in the city centre – both by the same man.

Officers now want to track down the curly-haired male, who they believe was behind both incidents.

The first, on Friday 7 April at 11pm, saw a woman assaulted and verbally abused by an unknown male outside Brunswick Park in the city centre.

Then on Saturday 15 April at around 7pm, a woman was assaulted with a blunt instrument on Upper Brook Street by what’s believed to be the same man.

He fled the scene on both occasions and no arrests have yet been made.
