A restaurant in Manchester is giving away free roast dinners for dogs, and we are just a little bit obsessed with how cute it all is.
Peruvian-inspired cantina Peru Perdu on Princess street has created a bottomless Sunday roast menu with unlimited drinks – and they’re even throwing in a free roast dinner for your furry friends.
Yes, really.
The restaurant puts a South American spin on the traditional Sunday roast, offering a choice of blackened Pollo La Brasa chicken, Picanha roast beef (one of the great stars of the churrasco dinner), or vegan chimichurri cauliflower with truffle gravy.

Served with all the trimmings, think giant Yorkshire puddings, crispy roast potatoes, carrots and more winter veg, all presented on large wooden boards alongside a huge jug filled with lashings of gravy.

And when you dine in with a friend, they’ll even treat your pooch to a roast, too – completely on the house. It’s no dog’s dinner, either, there’s a choice of beef or chicken served with veggies and bone gravy.
As if we needed any more encouragement, the menu also offers a selection of bottomless drinks for a set price. Think 90 minutes of endless bloody marys, pisco sours and pornstar martinis.

Inside the restaurant itself, it all feels very fresh and modern.
Snazzy muted pink interiors combine with bright prints, vibrant textiles and lush foliage to create a cool, contemporary feel that transports you far away from Manchester – for the duration of your meal, at least.

An open kitchen, meanwhile, gives you a direct view into what the chef’s are up to – and you can even sit right up there at the pass if you want to get a full taste of the action.
The rest of the week you’ll find an all-day menu here serving ceviche and raw dishes, empanadas, U.W.A steak cuts including Chilean wagyu cooked on lava stones, and a selection of large plates like churrasco sea bass, braised duck leg and more.
The bottomless Sunday roast with a free meal for your dog is available from 12 to 5pm every Sunday. The rest of the week the restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday, serving its menu all day from lunchtime well into the evening.

Award-winning Manchester restaurant Another Hand announces closure with ‘immediate effect’

One of Manchester’s most popular intimate restaurants has sadly announced that it’ll be closing its doors with ‘immediate effect’.
Another Hand – which can be found tucked away up on Deansgate Mews – opened back in 2022 to acclaim from critics and customers, as well as scooping up several awards along the way like Best Newcomer at the 2022 Manchester Food and Drink Awards, and places in the Michelin Guide and the Good Food Guide along the way.
Not only that, but the 24-seater intimate casual dining restaurant was also named as one of the best restaurants in Manchester merely three weeks ago by respected publication, Time Out.
Launched by the team behind 3 Hands Deli – which operated from a site two units down – Another Hand was known and loved for focusing on sharing plates made with produce from local ethical growers.
And it seemed to be going from strength to strength, but sadly, the restaurant took to social media yesterday to announce its decision to close ‘with immediate effect’.
Another Hand said in its statement on Instagram: “With heavy hearts we are sad to announce that after five years Another Hand will be closing its doors with immediate effect.
“Unfortunately, as most of us know, the current economic climate for the hospitality sector is facing steep challenges, sadly a familiar story. And after five years of operating within this increasingly challenging environment, we feel it’s time for us to step away.
“This isn’t a decision we’ve taken lightly, but it feels like the right time to bring this chapter to an end.
“We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built here. From the people who have worked alongside us, to the producers and suppliers who have supported us; and most importantly, everyone who has come through the door and eaten with us…. thank you.
Strictly Come Dancing Live to return to Manchester as part of 2027 UK tour

Strictly Come Dancing Live is set to return in 2027 for a spectacular new UK arena tour.
Hot on the heels of last weekend’s dazzling launch show for the 2026 BBC series, audiences are invited to get their dancing shoes on and their ’10’ paddles at the ready, as a new lineup of celebrities and professionals will be taking to the dancefloor for 29 shows across the country – including three shows in Manchester.
Head judge Shirley Ballas will be hitting the road, alongside fellow judges Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood, with Janette Manrara also presenting.
Directed by Craig Revel Horwood himself, Strictly Come Dancing Live takes the magic of the BBC TV show and turns it up to another level.
Expect jaw-dropping group dances, breathtaking routines, stunning costumes, and live music from the legendary Strictly band and singers, all brought together in a first-class arena production.
As always with the Strictly Live Tour, there is one very important decision to be made at every show – which couple will lift the Glitterball Trophy?
And that decision is not in the hands of the judges. The judges are there to critique and provide their invaluable opinions on each dance routine, but they do not hold the power, as this lies with the audience instead, who can vote using their mobile phones to decide who is the winner.

The tour kicks off at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on 22 January for the first of five shows, and will then cha-cha-cha its way across the UK, visiting other major northern cities like Sheffield, Newcastle, Liverpool, and Leeds, before arriving in Manchester at the start of February.
Strictly Come Dancing Live will take to the AO Arena stage on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 February 2027, with two shows happening on the Saturday.
Tickets officially go on sale this week, with venue pre-sales beginning at 10am on Thursday 24 September, before general sale starts on Friday (25 September), also at 10am.
