Closures are effective from today.
Cinema chains across the UK are temporarily shutting down with immediate effect amid coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns following yesterday's government briefing.
The closures come a day after Prime Minister Boris Johnson advised the public to avoid mass gatherings in venues such as pubs, clubs, theatres and similar.

ODEON, Cineworld, Vue and Everyman each have a significant presence in Greater Manchester with multiple venues across the borough, all of which are set to shut.
According to Screen Daily though, even before such announcements were made, UK and Ireland box office takings were down 50% between Friday and Sunday, compared with the previous weekend, as many choose to avoid and comply with social distancing advice.
