Greggs staff are always there for us whenever we need them.
Sleepy mornings. Famished afternoons. Hangover days. They've always got us. If anyone deserves a bonus - it's these guys.
So, it's music to our ears that Greggs staff are set to share £7m in bonus money this year.
The nation's favourite bakery has apparently enjoyed an "exceptional year", and bosses have put aside a pot that will be shared between all workers at the end of January.
If you're wondering where they got all this money from, here's what you need to know:
In 2019, Greggs sales increased by more than 13%, 138 new stores were opened, and they finished the year with 2,050 shops trading across the country.
This all resulted in a higher profit than anticipated - leaving plenty of cash leftover to thank staff for their hard work.
Greggs chief executive Roger Whiteside commented: "I am delighted to announce that we will also be making a special additional payment to all of our colleagues across the business who have worked so hard to deliver this success in what has been a phenomenal year.
"Looking to the year ahead, we face strong sales comparatives and cost inflation headwinds present a challenge.
"However, with strong momentum in the business we see further growth opportunities across a number of channels as we invest in new ways to make Greggs more accessible and convenient for customers."
The launch of the Vegan Sausage Roll also saw Greggs enjoy increased media exposure in 2019 and allowed them to diversify their customer base.
The popularity of the product led to the addition of more meat-free items on the menu, and people were caught queuing up around the block for a first bite of the new Vegan Steak Bake earlier this month.
Here's to another great year for Greggs! What would we do without you?
