The heatwave is upon us, and it’s a bit of a scorcher – to put it mildly.

With temperatures set to hit highs of 28 degrees in Manchester this afternoon, it feels like summer has well and truly arrived – and we’re completely here for it.

So, it seems, is Manchester bar Crazy Pedros – who’s just generously announced they’ll be handing out free tins of gin this afternoon from its Bridge Street bar.

The bar has partnered with Hartwall Original® Long Drink, which happens to be behind the world’s first cocktail in a can, to bring the party to Manchester this afternoon.

With absolutely no strings attached, they’re encouraging people to head down at 5pm straight from the office to kick back on the bar’s outdoor terrace and enjoy a tin of gin – on the house.

The Original® Long Drink – or gin in a tin as it’s more commonly known – is made of Finnish artisan gin, with handpicked natural ingredients.

Originally made for the Helsinki Olympics way back when in 1952, the original flavour is gin and grapefruit soda – but there’ll also be orange, lemon and cranberry to choose from this afternoon.

Crazy Pedro’s Manchester location will be open until 4am, with free gin in a tin available until stocks run out.

One free can of Hartwall Original® Long Drink will be available per customer.
