Dyson has released a new straightener, but shoppers are speechless at the price.
Dyson is dipping its toe in the hair technology market once again and has announced a new straightener that’s been seven years in the making.
The Dyson Corrale is ‘the only straightener with flexing plates that shape to gather hair’ and will straighten and style hair using 50% less heat than competitors.
Whilst Dyson is famously most associated with vacuum cleaners, many will remember it entered the hair care market back in 2016 after launching the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer to rave reviews.
The Corrale can also be used both corded or cordless.
Sounds brilliant, right? Groundbreaking. Never been done before. Whilst yes, that’s all very true, it’s also £400. Well, £399.99 to be exact, so you’re saving one whole penny if that makes you feel any better.
The price tag has understandably left shoppers speechless.
Who in their right mind would pay £400 for a pair of straighteners #dysoncorrale— Tegs? (@tegweddhafjames) March 10, 2020
Would love to know if anyone who isn’t an influencer is going to buy that 650$ dyson straightener ??— Boo boo the fool (@NoraBella22) March 10, 2020
The Supersonic hair dryer was met with similar reactions over the price though when it first launched and still went on to sell well, so we expect the Corrale is heading in the same direction despite initial shock.
