An apres-ski-inspired bar will be opening in Greater Manchester this winter, with loads of festive features stuffed into an actual yurt village.
YurtBar is set to expand here after selling thousands of tickets for its Leeds event in 2022.
The yurt village will be built in the grounds of Sale Golf Club and promises a magical Alpine atmosphere with themed bars, dance floors, cosy log fires and relaxation areas with plenty of Alpine-style food.
YurtBar will bring an immersive ski-resort-style experience to Manchester after six successful years in Leeds with its alpine-themed events.
With space for up to 320 guests, it’s hoping to be a go-to location for Christmas parties in 2023.
Matthew Hyde at Baba Ganoush Dining will be in charge of the YurtBar menus and is creating an Alpine feast that includes traditional fondue.
Festive drinks will, of course, be flowing, from mulled wine and cocktails to steins of beer and ski shots.
After a three-course dinner, guests will be treated to live entertainment from a DJ, saxophonist, tambourinist, and MC.
Founder Tom Sterne launched YurtBar seven years ago in the grounds of Moor Allerton Golf Club, Leeds, inspired by his love of skiing and apres-ski parties.
Tom, managing director of YurtBar, Yorkshire Yurts and Yurtshire, said: “Due to the popularity of YurtBar Leeds where we have a great following of guests returning year after year, we are delighted to bring this unique experience to a new city.
“Manchester is well known for its bustling nightlife and seemed like the perfect place to expand.
“We’re preparing to welcome our first customers from 1 December. YurtBar is the ideal place to host a festive catch-up with your friends, family or colleagues – instead of a more traditional Christmas party.”
YurtBar’s events will take place across December, with tables for between six and 12 people starting at £64.50 per person. Each ticket includes entry to the Alpine yurt village, a welcome drink, a three-course meal, live music, photo booths and entertainment.
The space is also available for private events and corporate Christmas parties.
