KFC is bringing back its vegan chicken burger after five months

KFC has announced the return of its vegan chicken burger – with the Quorn-based fillet set to feature on menus at selected branches from the start of next week.
The fried chicken chain added a vegan burger to its boards for the first time in the UK at the beginning of 2020, following a wildly successful trial run back in 2019.
It was temporarily removed when KFC reopened with a limited menu following lockdown, but now the vegan chicken burger is coming back to as many as 73 branches across the country.
The official return date is August 24.
Costing £3.99, the KFC vegan chicken burger contains a ‘bespoke Quorn fillet’ coated in herbs and spices, vegan mayo and iceberg lettuce, tucked up inside a glazed bun.
A spokesperson for KFC said: “Our vegan and flexitarian fans were sadly denied their favorite meat-free treat during lockdown, but now it’s back, and it’s time to celebrate,” said
“Our kitchen teams have been working hard to adapt to the new safety measures in restaurants, but we reckon now is the right time to unleash one of our fan favourites.
“We can’t wait to reunite with our vegan friends – we’ve missed you!”
The burger will be on sale right here in Manchester – including the Arndale, Ashton Retail Park and Fort Shopping Park branches.
